“Sending messages to your loved ones is such a powerful thing, yet highly underrated in today's world."
5 days of the auspicious event came to an end, and bidding goodbye to the beautiful city of Mumbai wasn't easy but had to come back to work.
While I was traveling back to Hyderabad this weekend, I penned down a few thoughts and experiences that I want to share with you.
When was the last time you picked up your phone, your fingertips trembling with emotion, and sent a heartfelt text to your parents, family members, or loved ones, just to ask, "Are you okay? Are you really doing okay?" It's amazing how such small gestures can brighten someone's day, filling it with warmth and love.
In this fast pace of Instagram life, we have left behind all of them who made us what we are today, though actually, they are the ones who truly deserve your time.
But why only me? Because change starts with you. You just sow the seeds of love and witness the breathtaking blossoms on the tree of your beautiful relationships, trust me it's magical.
We often go out with friends over the weekend, but how often do we consider visiting our family or friends over the weekend? Why not, just give it a try this weekend and let me know how did you feel.
You are lucky if your family is by your side or close by. Appreciate that divine blessing. Cherish it. Not everyone is as fortunate. In life, we have so many beautiful things and people around us, yet we are stuck to addictive reels. There's nothing inherently wrong with scrolling through reels, but too much of that is absorbing and draining away all your energy, it's draining away the very essence of love.
Yes, it's draining away your love because love comes with the time you spend with your loved ones. Stop for a moment and think, when was the last time you were truly at home without being glued to your phone? The answer may be closer than you think.
No amount of money can buy you happiness or make you feel loved unless you are content with what you have. Also, your degree of being content depends a lot on the happiness and love you find at home, which you eventually drain being on screen rather than being with the family, being in the moment with them. Your spouse and kids, all they need is your love and a little bit of time before they go to bed. We usually charge our devices often, but eventually end up missing out on charging our relationships with our own family. Even if you don't have money, take them out for a walk, or for a ride on the weekend and they will be over the moon.
Sending messages to your loved ones is such a powerful thing, yet highly underrated in today's world. We use WhatsApp to forward endless messages, pictures, and videos, but how often do we take the time to send a heartfelt message to the person who truly matters? We flood our phones with "Dua ma yaad" messages during special occasions, but do we sincerely pray for the well-being of those we message? It's time for introspection. What's amiss around us? What's amiss within us? Where are we headed?
When was the last time you gazed upon a breathtaking view, an extraordinary sight, and didn't reach for your camera to capture it? We're all guilty of this. But let's take a step back and realize that what you actually missed out on is being there at the moment even though you were physically present, that's an unconscious thing that we always do because we are more worried about making reels rather than actually enjoying or appreciating the moment. We've all seen those who snap pictures and videos during sacred moments, like Deedar Sharaf during miqaat, only to send them to family WhatsApp groups to prove their speed or cleverness; but unfortunately, they miss out on the actual essence of that moment - "Deedar Sharaf". Whereas others spend thousands of bucks just for that one Golden moment - "Maula Ek Nazar".
Now that we've identified these behavioral issues within ourselves, let's delve deeper into understanding why we unconsciously behave this way. None of us were born with these habits, nor were our parents like this. It's a subtle influence from the people around us. You are, after all, the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Have you noticed a steep change in your language recently? That's because your language pattern is shaped by those around you, and so is your behavior.
This is why it's crucial to be mindful of whom you speak to and spend time with. Next time, you see your child misbehaving or throwing tantrums around, that's because your kid spends most of the time at school and might be influenced by the company they keep at school, who are indirectly influencing your child's way of thinking as well as behavioral patterns.
May we all find the wisdom to recognize what truly matters in life and hold it close with utmost care and love.
Appreciate what you have, love & respect people and the world will be yours.
Much love and God bless! 😇
