Power of Appreciation

This blog is inspired by one of my experiences in Mumbai, focusing on understanding the foundation of our belief systems and why it is important.

“Appreciate what you have, love & respect people and the world will be yours."

5 days of the auspicious event come to an end, and bidding goodbye to the beautiful city of Mumbai wasn't easy but had to come back to work.

While I was traveling back to Hyderabad this morning I penned down a few thoughts and experiences which I want to share with you.

What does it take to come out of your comfort zone? Why would someone do so?

Waiting for hours in a queue under the scorching heat for that one golden moment when everyone comes together and chants just one word ‘Maula Ek Nazar.

Maybe because of love? Yes, of course, we all do but I think there is something more to it.

Community is all about love and your belief in it which can make wonders. I believe it’s also about how much are you willing to sacrifice. Choosing time over your work is sacrifice, choosing voluntary donations over your luxury is sacrifice, choosing hustle over personal space is sacrifice, and choosing to offer help, to someone, before you is sacrifice.

Yesterday I was at Badri Mahal for Waaz Mubarak, and eventually came across an old man who was shedding his tears while recalling the numerous blessings of Burhanuddin Maula upon him with an old photo of Aqa Maula in his hands. I couldn't stop myself and offered him a sip of water from my bottle and during our conversation I was astonished by his faith and love in Aqa Maula.

He told me that he sells sandals outside Nalasopara Railway station to meet his daily expenses and has barely been able to afford anything beyond basic survival needs. Being in such a miserable situation also he was content and happy with the little he had which made his life so easy. Whenever he ended up in any difficulty, he used to call-upon Aqa maula for help while holding his photo in hand and he received help each time indeed.

This story made me think, where am I? How strong is my faith? Even if I had 1/10th faith compared to him I would be the luckiest person on this planet. None of us are perfect including me and we are all striving every day to be better people than before. I was happy, and emotional at the same time listening to him.

We get few, we lose few but at the end of the day what matters is 'Mohabbat', we are blessed with the abundance amount of love, virtue, and wisdom of the words of our beloved Aqa Maula(TUS).

Appreciate what you have, love & respect people and the world will be yours.

Much love and God bless! 😇
